Welcome. You will need to book onto a group induction which can be booked via the website or sign-in as a guest of a registered member.
Bouldering is low level climbing on small rock formations or artificial walls without the assistance of ropes, protected by crash matting.
Gym type clothes, no jewellery, hire shoes are available to rent.
You will need register or visit as a guest of a registered member to climb at Bloc.
To assess your competency we will ask you some health and safety questions and you will complete a waiver. You will then be registered to climb at Bloc. A one-off registration fee will apply on your first visit which lasts a lifetime and normal entry will be charged on top.
If you are climbing with someone who is already registered at Bloc, they can sign in up to 2 guests. You will pay for guest entry and do not need to register.
You will not be able to register and climb unless you sign in as a guest of a registered climber. You will need to book a group induction via our website.
If you are a registered member you do not need to book. If you are not registered but are a competent boulderer who can climb alone then we can register you on arrival. If you are not a competent climber and not attending as a guest of a registered member, please book a group induction via the website.
You will need to be accompanied by a registered adult member of Bloc.
We are the largest indoor bouldering facility in Bristol with a wide variety of problems, which are refreshed regularly.

We do have lockers but you will need to bring a padlock. We do not accept responsibility for your property in the Centre but have a lost property store, so if you think you have left an item behind please ask at the counter.
Bike storage.
We do not have showers.
We do not have a minimum entry age for bouldering. All under 18's need to be supervised by a registered climber. The minimum age to book on to our Clip n Climb facility it is 4 years old.
You will need your own liability insurance, up to date first aid qualification and climbing qualification. Please contact us to arrange a time with the chief instructor to be inducted to instruct at Bloc.
No, we do not freeze memberships, however we will allow the transfer of your membership to someone else. Contact us if you'd like to discuss.
You cannot cancel your 12 month membership early. However, once you have paid for 11 consecutive months you may give 1 months notice to cancel.
Yes, we are. Please check in before you arrive using your mobile and show your pass on entry. You must be registered at Bloc to climb here.
10% discount for NHS, Military, Police
10% discount for charities and school group bookings
10% discount for students, additional needs, over 65 (before 4pm weekdays & all day weekends)
New problems are set weekly, with each zone updated every nine weeks. Updates are posted on Bloc's Instagram.
We require 48 hours notice to rebook or cancel your session. For parties we require 14 days notice.
If you are a group of a minimum of 6 or more participants, we can open the Clip space for you. We require 2 weeks notice.
